JGU offers a top-level undergraduate and graduate education, including an international M.Sc. degree and a fast-track Ph.D. option. The teaching philosophy at JGU stresses early research independence on all degree levels. Students can participate in large-scale research experiments conducted at MAMI, TRIGA, or one of the partner institutions such as the CERN in Geneva and the GSI Darmstadt. Small group sizes and an excellent student-teacher ratio ensure individual mentoring and well-grounded learning progress. The MAINZ Graduate School of Materials Science and the PRISMA Cluster of Excellence offer regular summer schools, seminars, and research internships. The global network of partner universities opens up international career paths.
